Samuel Bouchard to present at the 2008 IDETC-CIE
Robotiq's Samuel Bouchard presents some results from his PhD at the 2008 IDETC-CIE conference organised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineering. The paper, "On the Ability of a Cable-Driven Robot to Generate a Prescribed Set of Wrenches", presents interesting tools to analyse and design such robots. This work had been done under the supervision of Clément Gosselin at the Laval University Robotics Lab. Brian Moore, from RICAM in Austria, is also a co-author. For the fist time, a symposium dedicated to cable-driven and tensegrity mechanisms was organised.
